At age two, her granny and sixteen year old cousin coddle her, then comes the first day of school. Her pigtails and long pants retreat into a glamorous 'do', which only lasts until recess. The pigtails return the following day. Her mother was beautiful, voted most attractive in her senior college class. She wants a well-dressed little girl, but gets a tomboy instead. She tries to change her, can't...loves her anyway. But she finds tap dancing at age 8. What could be more glamorous than clattering across the stage while little boys in top hats mime 'oh you beautiful doll'....mom's dream realized at last~ ummm until the sixth grade picture!
