Homeward Bound
Dusk lazily drapes
The sun-stroked sky.
Above, tentative pinpricks
Lay claim to permanent position.
Hard structures
Shift in the fading light.
New possibilities
Replace earlier certainties.
Head bowed from a life of days
I head for food and firelight.
The way cleared
By a homeward moon.
