China Shops
for Tammy Foster
Brewer
She walks, barefoot,
down the road
of pregnant beginnings.
Love poems buckle the asphalt.
Daisies bend their heads
to take note.
I've blundered through
so many china shops,
but still search for rainbows, too.
There's a story in here somewhere,
but my pen tumbles free.
