Adam's Apple
Before I handed
Adam his apple,
Pele ruled volcanic
eruptions;
windstorms, approved
by Zeus,
filled the skies,
as goddesses danced
to songs
writ from lion's
roar and
eagles' whisper.
My barefooted wanderings
cemented paintings
into earth's flesh,
recording my stories
for future Adams
to ponder.
